XZS was founded in 1956 as one of the major comprehensive scientific research institutes of the pre–Ministry of Machinery Industry, following nearly fifty years development, XZS has evolved into a fully-equipped giant design and research institute specialized in metallurgy, rolling, forging, environmental protection equipment, electro-mechanic-hydraulic equipment and fundamental elements, up to now XZS has 14 professional design & research departments, 4 subsidiaries including Shanghai XZS, and 4 equipment/ machinery manufacturing facilities, staffing more than 1000 people, of which more than 700 are engineers or technicians, including over 200 senior engineers, one chartered member of China Engineering Academy, and possessing 900 scientific/technological payoffs of which 175 achievements were awarded the state-grade, ministry-grade or province-grade “Science-tech Advance Prize ”or “Science-tech Invention Prize”, 139 were awarded the technological patents, and over 100 achievements were ranked no.1 in China. XZS’s main scope of businesses covers the design, manufacture, and assembly/ system integration of the heavy-duty equipment/machinery of metallurgy, rolling, forging, environmental protection, besides, XZS is also engaged in businesses as general contractor for major projects.
